  • Description: Tony Mikelis works in a gas station, from which, however, he gets fired because his boss caught him messing around with his wife. His classmate Eleni supports him and helps him as much as she can, but Tony, in order to escape poverty and live the big life, gets involved in doing dirty work for Vangos, who is the top dog in a ring of drug dealers. At a respectable reception he meets the succulent widow of a German businessman, Peggy Hofman, to whom he sells a story, while, at the same time, he abandons Eleni. Vangos, believing that Tony has cheated him, beats Eleni to death and is arrested by the police. Police Sergeant Giannidis, discovering the collaboration between Vangos and Tony, notifies Peggy. She goes looking for him and finds him in the arms of her daughter Christina. In desperation, she shoots and kills him. There she suffers untold hardships at the hands of the “saintly” abbot, who treats the nuns like slaves and mistresses. Later on, and with the help of her childhood friend Dorothy, who came from America and associates with people from high society, she manages to run away, but can’t escape the claws of prostitution. In order to survive, she starts selling her body to Dorothy’s rich “friends”, on account of Zachos, who takes advantage of both of them.
